Welcoming Baby Odin | Fresh 48 at Medical City Lewisville

One of the most rewarding parts of being a DFW photographer is getting to walk alongside families as they grow—and the Parras are one of those families I’ve had the honor of photographing for over four years now. From milestone moments to everyday memories, I’ve been behind the lens as they’ve added love and laughter to their home, and recently, I got to document a truly tender moment: the birth of their third and final baby, sweet little Odin.

I visited their hospital room for a Fresh 48 photo session at Medical City Lewisville, just a day after Odin arrived. These sessions are some of my absolute favorites to shoot. Everything is still new—tiny fingers, sleepy snuggles, and those fresh sibling introductions. It’s an incredibly intimate time, and being invited into that space is something I never take for granted.

Odin was already so loved and so anticipated. His oldest sibling couldn’t wait to hold him and was absolutely beaming with pride and joy. Their middle child, now promoted to big brother, was still figuring out what this new dynamic meant—and that’s part of what makes family photos during a Fresh 48 so powerful. The emotions are raw, real, and completely unscripted.
