A Sweet & Organic Wedding at Arrowood Events | Taylor & Skye
February weddings in Texas can be unpredictable, but Taylor and Skye’s day at Arrowood Events in Palmer was nothing short of magical. Set entirely outdoors, Arrowood’s space gave them the dreamy woodland feel they were after—without sending their guests miles away from home. The setting was peaceful and romantic, and paired with Taylor’s effortlessly stunning red hair, it felt like something out of a storybook.
As a DFW photographer, I love when couples opt for a first look—and Taylor and Skye’s was one for the books. It gave us time to soak in those sweet moments and knock out most of their wedding portraits before the ceremony. That way, they could be fully present the rest of the day, surrounded by the people they love most.
Their ceremony took place under a beautiful wooden archway, surrounded by tall trees and soft light filtering through the branches. It felt intimate and grounded, just like the two of them. Their love was so tangible—it was impossible not to smile watching them promise forever to one another.
The reception brought laughter and tears (and a few surprises). The speeches had everyone choked up—including me behind the camera. And then Taylor’s dad stole the show by jumping on the dance floor in a coconut bra and a pink cowboy hat. Honestly, it was iconic.
As the evening wrapped up, guests gathered around the fire for s’mores—a cozy, nostalgic way to end the celebration. It felt like a wedding weekend at summer camp, in all the best ways.
Taylor and Skye, thank you for trusting me with your wedding photos. Your day was filled with warmth, joy, and so much heart—everything a wedding photographer could hope for. Wishing you a lifetime of love and laughter (and more pink cowboy hats).
