A Sweet Fall Session with Megan, Udit, & Their Senior Pup, Otis

Back in January 2024, I had the absolute joy of capturing Megan and Udit’s wedding day—one filled with laughter, love, and heartfelt moments. So when they reached out again for a fall family photo shoot in October at Murrell Park, I was beyond excited. This time, it was all about celebrating their little family of three: Megan, Udit, and their sweet senior dog, Otis.

This session was extra special. Otis has been a loyal companion for years, and as he's getting older, Megan and Udit wanted to capture this chapter of his life. I love when families include their pets in photo sessions—it adds such a beautiful layer of meaning. Otis was a total champ and still had that playful spark, trotting through the trails and soaking up the sunshine with his people.

We couldn’t have asked for better weather—cool breezes, golden light, and a quiet calm at Murrell Park that made it feel like the perfect fall day in Flower Mound. We ran around the lake, explored some of my favorite tucked-away spots, and shared plenty of laughs in between clicks of the camera.

If you’re considering a family photo shoot and you’ve got a four-legged friend who’s part of the family (no matter their age), bring them along! Whether you’ve got a bouncy puppy or a wise old soul like Otis, I welcome all animals to my photo sessions—they’re just as much a part of the story.
