Photographing the Ford Family at Murrell Park was a refreshing reminder that family photography isn’t just for families with a lot of little kids. Family sessions with older families can be just as fun!

With grown children ranging from 19 to 28, this session was all about celebrating their ongoing bond—and letting Mom finally get the family portraits she’s been wanting.

As a Flower Mound photographer, I love Murrell Park for its scenic lake views, walking trails, and tall grasses that catch the light so beautifully in the fall.

We met on a crisp October evening and moved through the park at a relaxed pace, snapping group shots, sibling moments, and even a few portraits that everyone can treasure.

Capturing adult families can be so rewarding—they’re fun, easygoing, and deeply connected in ways that are rich with history. These are the photos that will live on for generations.
